(WASHINGTON, DC) – Congressman Larry Bucshon, M.D. released the following statement honoring the life and service of former Indiana Congressman John T. Myers.
“We are all saddened to hear the news of Congressman John T. Myers’ passing, but as a community we celebrate and honor his great legacy,” said Bucshon.“Congressman Myers was known for his dedication to his constituents, his charisma, and his accomplishments behind the scenes. He was a one-of-a-kind public servant, and Indiana was lucky to have his representation in Congress. Kathryn and I send our deepest sympathies and prayers to the Myers family during this time.”
Congressman Larry Bucshon, a physician from Southern Indiana, is serving his third term in the U.S. House of Representatives. In the 114th Congress, Bucshon will serve on the influential House Committee on Energy and Commerce. The 8th District of Indiana includes all or parts of Clay, Crawford, Daviess, Dubois, Gibson, Greene, Knox, Martin, Owen, Parke, Perry, Pike, Posey, Spencer, Sullivan, Vanderburgh, Vermillion, Vigo, and Warrick counties.
